MISSION STATEMENT:

Promoting the Salesian communications’ environment as a communion of persons, works and activities, and the development and application of the resources of Social Communication in the mission to educate and evangelize the young, especially those who are poor.

Scope :

Why a “Social Communication System” for LKC Vice Province?

A “Social Communication System” is defined as an integrated and unified communication project of the mass. It is absolutely essential to consider our presences, communities and Salesian works as a network of inter-connected communication.

Magna-Carta

Don Bosco had a broad understanding of social communication. The letter he wrote about spreading good books serves as a magna carta for expressing his innovative vision, but especially his faith and his apostolic heart.

Scope

“I warmly recommend to you to spread good books for the glory of God and the salvation of ” –Don Bosco

Task

Social Communication for him was a priority mission field: “This spreading of good books is one of the principal aims of our Congregation…I beg you and I pray then, that you do not overlook this most important part of our mission” –Don Bosco
