Preparation for Holy Week: Time for the Spiritual Renewal

by Fr. Sebastian Fernando

March 21, 2024: Article # 85, 86, 88, 90, 93 and 95 of the Society of St. Francis de Sales speaks about the prayer life of a Salesian and his personal relationship with God. Every Salesian community is made on by the Holy Eucharist. Don Bosco himself recommended his boys frequent visits to the Blessed Sacrament. Following the instructions and recommendation of our Father and teacher Don Bosco.

Don Bosco Chinthanaloka Post Novitiate Community came together as a sign of unity to prepare themselves for the Holy Week. Adoration was conducted by Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernando SDB (Principal Don Bosco Chinthanaloka).  In his reflection he shared that holy week is the intensive week of the liturgical year. In this week we passed through and experience the Paschal mystery. If we have failed during the lent season to detest from our sinful ways and change our lives still we have time to change and repent.

It was a time for healing and to grow in spiritual life for the confreres. At the end father appreciated the brothers for preparing such a beautiful adoration. Let us remember our young confreres in our prayers for their bright future to serve in the LKC Vice Province of Sri Lanka.
