Sri Lanka – Three new Salesian priests for the Vice Province of Sri Lanka

Negombo, Sri Lanka – December 2022 – Three Salesian deacons, Elevitivalage Gayan Chamara, Nguyen Truong Bartholomew and Nguyen Quang Vinh Joseph, were ordained priests on 10 December, at the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians, for the laying on of hands and consecratory prayer of Msgr. Harold Anthony Perera, Bishop of the diocese of Kurunagala. Nguyen Truong Bartholomew and Nguyen Quang Vinh Joseph are missionaries from Vietnam and came to Sri Lanka for their internship. It is the first time that Salesian missionaries have been ordained priests in the “St. Joseph” Vice Province of Sri Lanka (LKC).
