Don Bosco quiz in Sinhala medium was held on 27th April 2024 in the vice province of Sri Lanka (LKC) at Metiyagane Salesian Community. The theme of the Strenna of the Salesian Family “Dream that makes you dream” was chosen as the theme for the quiz. Young people from Six Salesian Communities Palliyawatha, Dankotuwa – Juniors and Seniors, Arabegama, Uswetakeiyawa, Nochchiyagama took part in the quiz. Don Bosco Chinthnaloka Post-Novitiate Community organized the quiz. It was well arranged by the Young Confreres.
The communities were given the quiz booklets two months before and the date was fixed in the Province yearly plan. The students were accompanied by the Salesians and the staff members of the respective communities. The entire competition took a new shape with the creativity brought in by the community of Young confreres. It was comprised of written exam, group round, individual round, Singing competition and drama competition. It was truly a Salesian way of conducting a program of this nature. Every event was evaluated and marks were given according to their performance. The prizes were given according to each category and over all winners were declared after putting together all the points secured in each competition. The first position was taken by Palliyawatha, runner up was the team of Dankotuwa Seniors (Salesian Aspirantate) and third position was taken by Arambegama Community.

Sagayaraj SDB (Provincial Economer) for supporting financially this program. Special thanks to the Salesian Community of Metiygane was offering time and place to organize such a big event.

We continue to pray for the Young Confreres who are the future of our LKC Province so that they may continue serving God and Young people with the same spirit.
